Louisville Girls Lead!

Whether a student can make the commitment to our six month training program, or they want a small taste of what we can offer, Louisville Girls Leadership can help your student find their future path

Leadership Fellowship

From October to May, students will meet bi-weekly with girls across the city of Louisville to build community with one another and learn how to be the best leaders in their community.

Subjects and interests areas are all selected by the Steering Committee members, who are juniors and seniors who have already completed the Louisville Girls Leadership Fellowship.

Our curriculum will cover 6 topics that the students identified as important to their leadership development: Identity and Self, Leadership, Community,World and Society, Mental Health and Wellness, and College and Career Readiness.

Students who have been admitted into our program will spend the year evaluating how their leadership traits affect the way they lead and how they work as a member of a team. Additionally, students will have hands on learning experiences that will also compliment the learning they receive from their peers and other community members who are experts in their respective field.

Applications will open in late July for any high school sophomore, junior, or senior in the Jefferson County area.

LGL Power Mixer

The LGL Power Mixer is an empowering networking event designed to provide young girls with invaluable exposure to diverse career opportunities at an early age. This event serves as a dynamic platform where aspiring young minds can connect with accomplished professionals from various industries.

Through interactive sessions, mentorship opportunities, and insightful discussions, attendees gain a deeper understanding of potential career paths, fostering a sense of confidence and ambition.

The LGL Power Mixer aims to break down barriers and stereotypes, encouraging girls to explore their interests and envision a future filled with possibilities. By facilitating these meaningful connections, the event aims to inspire and equip the next generation of female leaders with the knowledge and motivation needed to pursue their dreams.

LGL hosts our Power Mixer twice a year, in the Fall and the Spring. Our next mentoring evening will take place in March and will be announced here and on our social media pages with additional and specific details.
